Bound typescript of letters written by Joseph Barcroft during a scientific expedition to the Peruvian Andes. The first letter is dated 18 Nov. 1921, the last 23 Jan. 1922. The purpose of the expedition was to study mountain sickness and acclimatization to higher elevations.
